Question 1 Report
State the type of movement that occurs at the elbow joint when a performer throws a ball overarm. [1]
Movement at the elbow during an overarm throw
When a performer throws a ball overarm, the forearm straightens as the arm moves forward to release the ball. This straightening action is extension at the elbow joint. Extension increases the angle between the upper arm (humerus) and the forearm (radius and ulna), moving from a bent position to a straighter one. [1]
