Which of the following processes is used in textile printing?

Silkscreening (also known as screen printing or serigraphy) is a process used in textile printing. In this technique, a fine mesh screen (originally made of silk, now usually polyester) is stretched over a frame. A stencil is created on the screen by blocking certain areas so that ink or dye can only pass through the open (unblocked) portions. The screen is placed on the fabric, ink is poured onto it, and a squeegee is drawn across the surface, forcing the ink through the open mesh and onto the textile beneath. This transfers the design onto the fabric.

Silkscreening allows for the reproduction of detailed, multi-coloured designs on fabric and is widely used in both industrial textile production and artistic printing. Each colour in the design typically requires a separate screen.

Embossing creates raised or recessed designs on a surface (commonly paper, leather, or metal) through pressure rather than ink transfer, and is not a textile printing method. Carving involves cutting into a solid material such as wood or stone and is a sculptural technique. Casting involves pouring liquid material into a mould, which is unrelated to printing on fabric.
