Answer Details
The ship master said this to Jonah. This story comes from the book of Jonah in the Old Testament of the Bible. Jonah was a prophet who disobeyed God's command to go to the city of Nineveh and instead boarded a ship heading in the opposite direction. During the voyage, a great storm arose and the crew was afraid they would perish. Jonah, however, was sleeping below deck. The ship master woke him up and urged him to call upon his God in hopes that they might be saved.
