A former coal-fired power station is being replaced by a solar panel assembly plant, a battery recycling centre and a rail terminal. The city government expects cleaner energy to support economic development while retaining jobs for local residents. The diagram also shows apartments close to the new industrial zone.

(c) An environmental problem could still be waste or pollution from battery recycling. Industrial recycling must be managed carefully to prevent harmful materials reaching land, water or air. Land take, construction dust and noise are also acceptable. [1]
(d) Whether former power-station workers obtain jobs depends on, for example:
Travel cost or distance, and workers' age or qualifications, could also affect employment. [2]
