The agency responsible for investigating allegations of maladministration and punishing offending career officers in the executive branch is the Public/Civil Service Commission. This is an independent government body that is responsible for overseeing the administration of the civil service, which includes the hiring, promotion, and discipline of government employees. Its main role is to ensure that the civil service is run in a fair and efficient manner, and that public servants are held accountable for their actions.
