[2] One mark each (max 2): - Iron (1) - Vitamin B12 (1) - HBV protein (1) - Omega-3 fatty acids (1) (c) Suggest a suitable vegetarian main meal and explain nutrient balance. [6] One mark for each food/explanation (max 6): - Bean chilli or lentil curry (1) - provides LBV protein from pulses (1) - Served with rice (1) - the combination of pulses and rice provides protein complementation, giving all essential amino acids (1) - Served with a side salad or steamed vegetables (1) - provides vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre (1) - A glass of orange juice (1) - vitamin C helps the body to absorb iron from plant sources (1)
