[2] One mark each (max 2): - Protein (HBV) (1) - Omega-3 fatty acids (1) - Vitamin D (1) - Vitamin A (1) - Iodine (1) (b) Explain why oily fish is recommended at least once a week. [3] One mark for each valid point (max 3): - Oily fish contains omega-3 fatty acids which help to protect against heart disease (1) - Omega-3 fatty acids help to reduce blood pressure and the risk of blood clots (1) - Oily fish is a good source of vitamin D which is important for strong bones and teeth (1) (c) Suggest two low-fat cooking methods for fish with reasons. [4] One mark for method, one mark for reason (max 4): - Grilling (1) - fat drips away from the fish during cooking so the fat content is reduced (1) - Baking/oven cooking in foil (1) - no extra fat needs to be added and the fish cooks in its own juices (1) - Steaming (1) - no fat is needed and the fish stays moist (1) - Poaching in water or stock (1) - no fat is added during cooking (1)
