Find the x and y intercepts of the graph of \(3x - z \le 9\)

Assessment: JAMB UTME - Mathematics - 2015 Subject: General Mathematics

Question 1 Report

Find the x and y intercepts of the graph of \(3x - z \le 9\)

Answer Details
Starting from 3x − z  ≤  9
x = 0, substitute the value of x (i.e. x = 0) into the equation 3x − z  ≤  9
3(0) − z  ≤  − 9
z  ≤  − 9
If z = 0
Then, 3x − 0  ≤  9
3x  ≤  9
x  ≤  3
Intercept of x and z i.e (x,z)
= (3, -9)
