Though the physical body may be affected, the soul and spirit will remain intact and ultimately receive a crown of glory that will never fade away. Therefore, Peter encouraged believers to remain steadfast and trust in God even in the midst of suffering, knowing that their faith and endurance would be rewarded in the end.
