Which Surah narrates the story of the People of the Cave?

The story of the People of the Cave (Ashab al-Kahf) is narrated in Surah Al-Kahf (Surah 18). The surah itself takes its name from this story: Al-Kahf means "The Cave" in Arabic.

The narrative (18:9-26) tells of a group of righteous young men who fled religious persecution in their city. They took refuge in a cave, where Allah caused them to sleep for approximately 309 years. When they awoke, they discovered that the world had changed entirely and the people of their city had become believers. This story illustrates Allah's power over time, His protection of the faithful, and the reality of resurrection.

The other surahs do not contain this narrative. Al-Tin (Surah 95) is a short surah about human nature and creation. Al-Fil (Surah 105) recounts the story of the army of the elephant that attacked Makkah. Al-Hajj (Surah 22) deals with the pilgrimage rites and themes of resurrection but does not contain the cave story.
