The headquarters of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is located in Abuja, Nigeria. ECOWAS was established on 28 May 1975 by the Treaty of Lagos, and its secretariat (now known as the ECOWAS Commission) has been based in Abuja since the Nigerian capital moved there from Lagos in 1991.

ECOWAS was founded to promote economic integration, cooperation, and development among West African states. Nigeria, as the largest economy and most populous country in the region, plays a central role in the organisation, and the location of its headquarters in the Nigerian capital reflects this.

The other cities listed are significant in their own right but do not host the ECOWAS headquarters. Accra is the capital of Ghana, Lome is the capital of Togo (which hosts the headquarters of the West African Economic and Monetary Union, UEMOA), and Lagos was Nigeria's former capital and the city where the ECOWAS treaty was originally signed. The permanent headquarters, however, is in Abuja.
