The Holy Quran (القرآن الكريم) was revealed in العربية (Arabic). This is explicitly stated in the Quran itself in several verses, including Surah Yusuf (12:2): إنّا أنزلناه قرآنًا عربيًّا ("Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran"). Arabic is therefore not merely the language of the Quran by historical accident; it is the divinely chosen language of revelation according to Islamic theology.

The other languages listed are historically significant Semitic or Middle Eastern languages but are not the language of the Quran. السريانية (Syriac) is an Aramaic dialect used in early Christian liturgy. العبرية (Hebrew) is the language of the Torah and Jewish scripture. الفارسية (Persian/Farsi) is an Indo-European language spoken in Iran and parts of Central Asia.
