The book "أدب الكاتب" (Adab al-Katib, "The Writer's Discipline" or "The Etiquette of the Scribe") was authored by ابن قتيبة (Ibn Qutaybah), whose full name was أبو محمد عبد الله بن مسلم بن قتيبة الدينوري (828-889 CE).

Ibn Qutaybah was one of the most important scholars of the Abbasid period. "أدب الكاتب" is a comprehensive guide for scribes and writers, covering Arabic grammar, morphology, correct usage, and common linguistic errors. The book became a foundational reference in Arabic language education and literary style.

ابن المقفع (Ibn al-Muqaffa') is famous for translating كليلة ودمنة (Kalila wa Dimna) from Persian into Arabic. أحمد أمين is a modern Egyptian literary historian known for works like فجر الإسلام. الجاحظ (al-Jahiz) is renowned for كتاب الحيوان (The Book of Animals) and البيان والتبيين (Eloquence and Exposition).
