Work out the mass of potatoes that are too small to sell. (2)

Finding a percentage of a mass follows the same rule as any percentage-of-an-amount calculation: multiply by the decimal equivalent of the percentage.
The mass of potatoes too small to sell is 8% of the 2400 kg harvested:
\[2400 \times 0.08\] [1 mark]
\[= 192 \text{ kg}\] [1 mark]
The remaining \(2400 - 192 = 2208\) kg of potatoes are large enough to be sold to the wholesaler.
