When K is open, the total Resistance = 8 + 2 = 10?
1 = V? =  6v? = 0.6A
When K is closed, 18+18=1? 
28=1?
? = 82 = 4?
? = 82 = 4?
4?  in series with 2?= 6?
1 = V?  = 66 = 1A
1 - 0.6A = 0.4A
Hence, 0.4A increase
