(a) Location on the outline map of Nigeria
(i) One important sea port and one important river port:
- Sea port: Apapa Port, Lagos – located on the south-western coast of Nigeria.
- River port: Onitsha River Port – located on the eastern bank of River Niger in Anambra State.
(ii) Road or railway serving each port:
- Apapa Port is served by the Lagos–Ibadan–Kano railway and major roads such as the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
- Onitsha River Port is served by the Onitsha–Enugu–Port Harcourt trunk road.
(iii) One international airport and one domestic airport:
- International airport: Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
- Domestic airport: Ilorin Airport, Ilorin, Kwara State.
(b) Four factors which have helped in the development of Apapa (Lagos) Port:
- Apapa Port handles a large proportion of Nigeria’s imports and exports.
- It is located on a good natural harbour with sheltered waters.
