Answer Details

The Nigerian National Anthem, "Arise, O Compatriots," is organised into distinct stanzas (verses), each with the same number of lines and the same metrical pattern. This makes its musical form stanzaic. In stanzaic form, the same melody is repeated for each stanza of text, much like a hymn or folk song.

The other options describe different musical concepts. Ternary form (ABA) is a three-part structure where the opening section returns after a contrasting middle section. Responsorial form involves a call-and-response pattern between a leader and a group. Allegro is a tempo marking meaning "fast" and is not a musical form at all.

For examination purposes, remember that anthems and hymns that repeat the same tune for successive verses are typically classified as stanzaic in form.
