A pie chart is a complete circle, so the angles of all its sectors add up to \(360^\circ\). Two sectors are \(145^\circ\) and \(96^\circ\), and the third is \(x^\circ\).
\[145+96+x=360\]\[241+x=360\]\[x=360-241\]\[x=119\]
The answer is \(x=119\) [B1].
Check: \(145+96+119=360\), so the three sectors fill the circle exactly. The land use represented by each sector is proportional to its angle, so this sector takes \(\frac{119}{360}\) of the farmer's land. The most frequent error is using \(180\) as the total, which would only apply to a semicircle.
