[1] The voice signal is converted into digital data packets, transmitted over the internet, and reassembled at the receiving end.
(b) One advantage of using email compared to posting a letter is that email delivery is almost instant, reaching the recipient in seconds regardless of distance, whereas a posted letter can take days. [1]
