Stellar Evolution
Overview
Stars are born, they shine for millions or billions of years, and eventually they die. The path a star takes depends on one thing above all: its mass. Our Sun will end quietly as a white dwarf; a star ten times more massive will explode as a supernova.
In this lesson you will learn how to classify stars by colour and temperature, and trace the life cycle of both Sun-like and massive stars from nebula to final remnant.
