Biological Molecules
Overview
The food you eat, the muscles that move you, and the membranes that hold your cells together are all made from the same small set of biological molecules. Understanding how carbohydrates, proteins and lipids are built, tested for, and broken down is central to biology.
This lesson covers the chemical elements in each molecule group, how small units join to form large ones, practical food tests you need to know, and the role of enzymes as biological catalysts, including how temperature and pH affect their activity.
Objectives
