Additionally, it allows for the accommodation of cultural and linguistic differences, as states can have their own laws and policies that reflect the values and beliefs of their people. In contrast, a unitary system centralizes power, which can lead to the dominance of one group over others and can lead to marginalization and exclusion of minority groups.
