(i) Corrective maintenance: is a task performed to identify, isolate, and rectify a fault so that the failed equipment or system can be restored to an operational condition. OR Any maintenance performed to return equipment or system to a proper working condition.
(ii) Adaptive maintenance: is the modification of an existing system to meet/suit new/changing environment/technological development.
(iii) Preventive maintenance: is a form of maintenance that is regularly performed on a system to avoid breakdown or failure. OR it is a maintenance performed while the equipment is still working so that it does not break down unexpectedly.
