Animals aestivate when the environment in which they live becomes
Answer Details
Animals aestivate when the environment in which they live becomes hot and dry. Aestivation is a type of dormancy that animals enter in response to environmental conditions such as high temperatures and low humidity. During aestivation, animals reduce their metabolic rate and become inactive, conserving their energy and water until more favorable conditions return. Aestivation is often seen in animals that live in arid regions with unpredictable rainfall patterns, such as certain species of snails, frogs, and tortoises.
