Nehemiah organized the people into groups to work on different sections of the wall and station guards to watch against attacks from Sanballat and Tobiah. When the enemies plotted to attack the workers, Nehemiah encouraged the people to trust in God and take up arms to defend themselves. They worked on the wall with one hand and held a weapon with the other. With their determination and God's help, they were able to complete the rebuilding of the wall in 52 days.
