Pick out the option with a different rhyme

Assessment: JAMB UTME - Use of English - 2023 Subject: English Language

Question 1 Report

Pick out the option with a different rhyme
Answer Details
The option with a different rhyme is "Growl".
Rhyme refers to the similarity of sounds at the ends of words. In this case, we are looking for words that end with a similar sound.
- "Roar" and "Four" both end with the "or" sound, so they rhyme with each other. - "Bore" also ends with the "or" sound, so it rhymes with "Roar" and "Four".
However, "Growl" ends with a different sound, the "ow" sound. So it does not rhyme with the other words in the list.
