Peter in his letter admonishes Christians that suffering for Christ's sake brings God's blessing. In 1 Peter 3:14, he writes, "But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed." Peter encourages believers to endure any persecution they may face for following Christ, knowing that in the end, they will be blessed by God. This includes facing opposition and ridicule from those who do not believe, as well as more severe forms of persecution such as imprisonment or even death.
