The Okigbo Commission was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the revenue allocation formula in 1980. The commission was headed by Dr. Pius Okigbo and it made recommendations for a more equitable distribution of revenue among the federal, state, and local governments in Nigeria. The recommendations of the commission were, however, not implemented by the government at the time.
