Amuka stole a chicken from a poultry fame . The workers on the farm caught Amuka and gave him the beating of his life Against the background of a democratic...

Against the background of a democratic society, the farm workers in the story above are expected to hand Amuka over to the police. In a democratic society, the rule of law is upheld, and everyone is entitled to a fair and impartial trial. The farm workers do not have the authority to judge or punish Amuka for his actions, as this is the responsibility of the justice system. By handing Amuka over to the police, the farm workers are allowing him to have his day in court and to receive a fair hearing. Denying Amuka his right to a fair hearing and administering punishment without a proper trial would be a violation of his rights and would not be in line with the principles of a democratic society.
