Prophet Samuel had two sons who were considered worthless, their names were Joel and Abijah.
According to the Bible, Samuel appointed his sons as judges over Israel, but they did not follow in their father's footsteps and instead took bribes and perverted justice. This caused the people to complain and demand a king to rule over them instead.
So, while Samuel was a great prophet and leader, his sons were not up to the same standard and were known as worthless because of their corruption and dishonesty.
