\frac{21}{23} π R^{2}

\frac{9}{25} π R^{2}

Answer Details

A $shaded portion$ = $π R^{2} - π r^{2}$ r = $\frac{2}{5}$ R

A $shaded portion$ = $π R^{2} - π (\frac{2}{3} R)^{2} = π R^{2} - \frac{4 π R^{2}}{25}$

= $π R^{2} (1 - \frac{2}{3}) = \frac{21}{25} π R^{2}$
