Answer Details

(a) In parallel, currents in branches add:
\[I_\text{total}=0.10+0.35=0.45\text{ A}\] [1]

(b) Use \(P=IV\):
\[P=0.45\times9.0=4.05\text{ W}\approx4.1\text{ W}\] [2]

(c) The sensor branch still operates because it has its own complete parallel branch. [1]

(d) The potential difference across the sensor is 9.0 V. Every parallel branch is connected across the supply. [1]

(e) The total current decreases to \(0.10\text{ A}\), since the disconnected transmitter branch no longer takes \(0.35\text{ A}\). [1]
