Gradient m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}

\frac{1}{2} = \frac{2 - 4}{1 - x}

1 - x = 2(2 - 4)
1 - x = 4 - 8
1 - x = -4
-x = -4 - 1
x = 5
