The appendicular skeleton is made up of the girdles and limbs. This means it includes the bones that form the pelvic girdle (the hip bones) and the shoulder girdle (the collarbone and shoulder blade) as well as the bones in the arms and legs. Basically, the appendicular skeleton is everything that is attached to the central part of the skeleton (the axial skeleton) and helps us move our limbs and make our movements more flexible and agile.
