The statement "Have you killed and also taken possession?" was spoken by the prophet Elijah and addressed to King Ahab (1 Kings 21:19). This confrontation took place after the incident involving Naboth's vineyard.

Naboth owned a vineyard next to Ahab's palace in Jezreel. Ahab coveted the vineyard, but Naboth refused to sell his ancestral inheritance. Queen Jezebel then arranged for Naboth to be falsely accused of blasphemy and stoned to death. After Naboth's execution, Ahab went to take possession of the vineyard.

God then sent Elijah to confront Ahab with this accusation. The question "Have you killed and also taken possession?" held Ahab responsible for both the murder and the theft, even though Jezebel had orchestrated the plot.
