Who accused Naboth falsely to seize his vineyard?

In 1 Kings 21, Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab, orchestrated a false accusation against Naboth to seize his vineyard. Ahab had wanted Naboth's vineyard because it was near the palace, but Naboth refused to sell or exchange his ancestral inheritance. Ahab sulked, and Jezebel devised a scheme: she wrote letters in Ahab's name, sealed them with his seal, and sent them to the elders and nobles of Naboth's city. She instructed them to proclaim a fast, seat Naboth in a prominent place, and have two "sons of Belial" (worthless men) accuse him falsely of blaspheming God and the king. The elders carried out the plan, and Naboth was stoned to death on the basis of this false testimony.

While Ahab desired the vineyard and benefited from the crime, it was Jezebel who planned and executed the false accusation. Ahab's role was passive - he coveted the vineyard and allowed the injustice to proceed. Jehu was a military commander who later overthrew the house of Ahab (2 Kings 9-10). Rehoboam was Solomon's son who ruled after the kingdom divided and had no connection to this event.
