Operating software, also known as an Operating System (OS), is the main type of software that controls and manages all the other software and hardware on a computer. It acts as an intermediary between the computer hardware and the applications you use. Examples of operating systems include Windows, macOS, and Linux. Utility software, on the other hand, is a type of system software designed to help manage, maintain, and optimize the computer system. Examples of utility software include anti-virus software, file management systems, and storage management software. These types of software provide specific functions that help you keep your computer running smoothly and efficiently.
