Monera is a kingdom of organisms that includes bacteria and cyanobacteria, which are single-celled and prokaryotic, meaning they do not have a nucleus. Instead, their genetic material, or chromosomes, are found within the cytoplasm, which is the jelly-like substance that fills the cell. In other words, the chromosomes in Monera are not separated from the rest of the cell by a nuclear membrane, as is the case in eukaryotic cells. Therefore, the chromosomes of Monera are located in the cytoplasm of the cell.
