(a) (i) One sea route linking Nigeria with Europe

The Cape Route (round the Cape of Good Hope) is one such route. A more direct alternative is the route through the Gulf of Guinea, across the Atlantic Ocean to the English Channel and the ports of north-western Europe. (Either the Cape Route or the trans-Atlantic Gulf of Guinea route is acceptable.)

(b) Four products carried along the route

• From Nigeria: crude petroleum, cocoa, and rubber.
