Trigonometric Ratios And The Pythagorean Theorem

Overview

Right triangles hide a powerful pattern: fix one angle and the ratios of the sides are locked in, no matter how big the triangle is. Those ratios are sine, cosine and tangent, and with the Pythagorean theorem they let you find unknown sides and angles.

In this lesson you will use the three trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean theorem to solve right triangles: finding a missing side or a missing angle from the information you are given.
