Overview
Every manager wants a team that turns up on time, works hard, and stays with the company. Yet the methods businesses use to achieve this vary enormously, from simple pay rises to radical changes in the way jobs are designed. Understanding why people work and what keeps them engaged is one of the most practical topics in business studies.
In this lesson you will explore three classic motivation theories, compare financial and non-financial reward methods, and evaluate which approaches suit different types of business.
