Properties Of Waves

Overview

Waves carry energy from one place to another without transferring matter. From sound crossing a room to light arriving from a star, the same principles apply.

In this lesson you will learn the difference between transverse and longitudinal waves, key wave properties (amplitude, frequency, wavelength, period), the wave equation v = f lambda, the Doppler effect, and how all waves can be reflected and refracted.
