Compare Functions Represented Differently

Overview

The same function can be presented in four different ways: as an algebraic rule, as a graph, as a table of values, or as a description in words. A real skill of the functions topic is being able to read each representation and compare functions even when they are dressed in different forms.

In this lesson you will compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way. You will read features such as the rate of change, the starting value and the output at a point from a graph, a table, a formula or words, and use them to decide which function is larger, steeper or faster.
