Angle Measurement In Degrees

Overview

Measuring and drawing angles accurately is a practical skill at the heart of geometry, construction and navigation. A protractor lets you read an angle to the nearest degree, and the same care lets you draw one exactly. Bearings then put this to work, describing any direction as a clear three-figure angle.

In this lesson you will learn to measure and draw lines and angles with a protractor, and to use and interpret three-figure bearings, always measured clockwise from north and always written with three digits. These skills connect geometry to the real business of finding your way.
