Overview

Integers are the building blocks of mathematics. Every calculation you meet in your Edexcel exam, from simple arithmetic to advanced algebra, rests on a confident handling of whole numbers, their properties, and the rules that govern operations on them.

In this topic you will master the four operations with positive and negative numbers, apply the correct order of operations (BIDMAS), and learn to identify prime numbers, factors and multiples. These skills underpin every other area of the specification.
