Scatter Diagrams

Overview

A scatter diagram plots pairs of values to reveal whether two quantities are connected. Does more study time go with higher scores? Does temperature affect sales? The pattern of the points answers the question, and a line of best fit lets you make predictions.

In this lesson you will draw and interpret scatter diagrams, describe correlation as positive, negative or zero, and draw and use a line of best fit.
