Overview

Energy calculations span work, power, kinetic energy, gravitational potential energy and efficiency. Each formula needs its quantities in the correct SI units. Getting mass in grams instead of kilograms or height in centimetres instead of metres will make every answer wrong.

This reference covers the eight SI units for the energy resources and energy transfers section: kilogram, joule, metre, metre per second, metre per second squared, newton, second and watt.
