Exponential Growth And Decay

Overview

When a quantity grows or shrinks by the same percentage again and again, it changes exponentially: slowly at first, then dramatically. Savings with compound interest, a growing population and a depreciating car all follow this pattern, and the same compact formula describes them all.

In this lesson (Extended tier) you will model exponential growth and decay using a repeated percentage change, and use the formula to find a value after a number of steps.
