Test of Practical Knowledge: Star and Circles Design in CorelDRAW
This is a hands-on CorelDRAW drawing exercise. Follow the instructions below to create a grey five-point star and position three labelled circles in the document.
Task Instructions
- Using the Star tool in CorelDRAW, draw a 30-point star with a diameter of 18 cm. Apply a grey fill colour to the star.
- Use the Shape tool to adjust the sharpness of the star corners to 25 points.
- Draw and place three circles, labelled Circle 1, Circle 2, and Circle 3.

CorelDRAW Procedure
- Select the Star tool from the Toolbox.
- Set the number of star points to 30 on the Property Bar.
- Draw the star, then set its width and height to 18 cm to maintain a circular diameter of 18 cm.
- Choose a grey swatch from the colour palette to fill the star.
- Select the Shape tool and adjust the star-corner sharpness value to 25.
- Use the Ellipse tool while holding Ctrl to draw perfect circles.
- Create three circles and label them Circle 1, Circle 2, and Circle 3 using the Text tool.
