(a) Using the star shape tool in CorelDraw, draw a 30 pts star of diameter 18 cm and fill it with grey colour.
(b) Use sharpness tool to adjust the corner sharpness of the star by 25 pts.
(c) Place three circles; circle 1, circle 2 and circle 3 with diameters 10 am, 7.6 cm and 5.4 cm respectively inside the star.
(d) Use Text tool to type ARISE AND SHINE and place it in-between circle 2 and 3.
(e) Fill cicle2 with lemon colour and circle 3 with white colour.
(f) Place five stars inside circle 3.
(g) Group your drawing.
(h) Type in your full name as a footer.
(i) Save and print your work.
(j) Submit your printout to the supervisor.
To complete this task in CorelDraw, follow these steps:
(a) To create a 30 pts star of diameter 18 cm, select the Star tool from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Click on the workspace and a dialog box will appear. Enter 18 cm as the width and height of the star, and set the number of points to 5. Click "OK" to create the star. Then, use the Fill tool to fill the star with grey color.
(b) To adjust the corner sharpness of the star by 25 pts, select the star shape with the Pick tool. Then, go to the Property bar at the top of the screen, and locate the "Sharpness" option. Increase the sharpness by 25 points to make the corners sharper.
(c) To place three circles inside the star, select the Ellipse tool from the toolbar. Draw a circle with a diameter of 10 cm, duplicate it twice and resize to make one with a diameter of 7.6 cm and another with a diameter of 5.4 cm. Use the Pick tool to position the circles inside the star.
(d) To type "ARISE AND SHINE" and place it in-between circle 2 and 3, select the Text tool from the toolbar, click on the workspace and type the text. Use the Pick tool to position the text in between circle 2 and 3.
(e) To fill circle 2 with lemon color and circle 3 with white color, select each circle shape with the Pick tool, and use the Fill tool to apply the respective colors.
(f) To place five stars inside circle 3, use the Star tool to create a smaller star shape, and duplicate it four more times. Use the Pick tool to position the stars inside circle 3.
(g) To group your drawing, use the Pick tool to select all the shapes, then right-click and select "Group" from the dropdown menu.
(h) To type your full name as a footer, select the Text tool from the toolbar and click on the workspace to type your name at the bottom of the drawing.
(i) To save and print your work, click on "File" on the top left corner of the screen, and select "Save As" to save the file. Then, click on "File" again and select "Print" to print the drawing.
(j) To submit your printout to the supervisor, hand over the printed drawing to the supervisor.
