Most real questions involve more than one event: drawing two cards, rolling and flipping, this happening or that happening. Two simple rules, addition and multiplication, let you combine probabilities correctly.
In this lesson you will use the addition rule for mutually exclusive events (this or that) and the multiplication rule for independent events (this and that), and recognize which rule a problem needs.
